A Bedtime Story with Coach's

Pillow Tabby Bag

Coach is an iconic American fashion brand renowned for its luxury leather goods and accessories. With a heritage rooted in craftsmanship and timeless design, Coach has maintained its reputation for quality and style since its founding in 1941. One of its standout creations is the Pillow Tabby bag, a modern interpretation of the classic Tabby silhouette. Characterized by its plush, quilted leather and distinctive pillow-like texture, the Pillow Tabby bag seamlessly blends elegance with contemporary allure.

The Coach Pillow Tabby is such a cute and fun bag that has become popular with the younger generations, but the marketing material seemed bland and was just images of models/influencers holding them back. I thought it was a fun and cute bag, so it would be suitable to have some fun product shots instead.

I had the idea to do a “Breakfast in Bed” photoshoot for the Coach Pillow Tabby handbag. It would be a fun idea to play off the name of the bag with the word pillow in it. Before I went into this shoot, I was thinking about what props I wanted, color scheme, and lighting. I knew I wanted the photos to be very bright and complex contrast.

Concept Ideas

I used an overhead softbox to provide an even amount of light over the setup. This looked nice, but I added a bare bulb light to the side to add exciting lighting and more complex shadows. I experimented with how much light intensity and distance I needed to create the shadows I wanted.
